Hitachi projection tv Good sound no menu/screen

Hi my parents have a Hitachi 53sdx89ba with good sound but no pic worked fine, last night turned off and this am no pic or menu, the sound works good?? Any help would be great. I have see a cir.board in the back on the rt side that when i pluge it in and turn it on the lights come on green and the fade out one light in the group stays on dim. they have told me that every once and awhile it would take a little time before the pic came on kinda like it was warming up. I hope some one can help the are on a fixed income and cant afford a new tv! Thanks Big Pop
