Hi,
if its turned down, it sounds good, if i turn it louder it starts to sound like a completly open guitar-amp (just crushed noise). This goes for both sides (L+R) So i asume its the "Endstufe" dont know in english, the main amplifier, its a very straight forward older design with two big transistors and a small one on the big cooler as well (expect the little one to regulate power depending on tempreture) per side. Am i right to solder the big ones out and get new ones, because it has been done before by someone who broke the things lose (just on the right side) and solderd the (now propably broken) new ones direktly to the circiut-lines (dont laugh: the amp belongs to an old man, he turns it up so loud, because he has bad hearing) so im not to keen on doing that, so could anyone give me a tip?
thanks, opal |
