I'm having problems with my Samgung HDTV HCN4226WX, the convergence shift is completely off. I want to repair it myself because the warranty has expired. A repair guy told me that it was an IC that needed to be replaced. Has anybody tried to repair or had repaired this model? If so PLEASE help me as I try to fix the problem.

My convergence ICs went out, which they seem to do at around 2 to 4 years on this Samsung module. The current replacemet part for this is BO95-00142E and costs around $100 including the shipping. The bottom half back cover comes right off this Samsung Model as it is held on by about 6 screws. Real simple, to swap out.. as all you do is just remove (unplug) the existing convergence IC modules and plug in the new ones in their place. TV convergence should immediately come on line, then you can do the Auto perfect focus. All should be restored then with your convergence for the HCN4226WX. This takes all of 30 min to do, even for a novice..
