Sony DVP-360 Player

My dvd player sounds normal and plays normal except for lines appearing across the screen. Sometimes they disappear after playing a while or changes from stripes to a mesh pattern. I've tried powering off, unplugging, checking cables but nothing so far.

Sounds like a problem with AV decoder chip.---uneconomical to repair & time to buy another.dvd player.
