how to reset kenwood kr-v7040

Can anyone tell me how to reset my kenwood kr-v7040 receiver? I accidently had a metal piece touched the back of the receiver which shorted the receiver. Now after turning it on, it doesn't show any text on the LCD screen. I believe the short has triggered on the safety and locked me out. I remember it can reset to it's original setting, but can't remember how!!!
