Replaced two DZ boards already. The TV is fine and will stay on for hours if room temp is below 77F. If warmer than 77, it will shut off in 30-45 minutes. Picture will go black before it powers down and it shows a bright white line Exclamation from top to bottom in the center of the screen. It shows the [Vsync] code "4 Blinks" when it shuts down but diagnostics also shows[Hsycn] and [Low B+] error codes.

This has been driving us nuts. Question

My best hunch is it is an overcurrent situation on the B+ line. As the room heats up it causes the failed or shorted component to go out of spec and trip the protection circuit.

Question


You have 3 error codes listed in the diagnostics it may be any of those that are causing the problem. The blinking led may be a symptom of one code that is caused by another. The TV will display the first code detected and it may not be the code that is causing the fault.

Look at the flyback circuit 5V line for shorted caps, diodes, or cracked solder joint.
