Hi everybody,
I hava a Yamaha CDX-390 cd player. The problem is that I hear clicks and pops during playback. The laser pick-up is brand new (KSS-210).
There are two Rvars on the KSS-210 used for adjustment.
I need a datasheet for the KSS-210 or a repair manual for the Yamaha cdx-390.
Any help will be much appreciated!

In general, the controls on the pickup has no bearing on your symptoms.
99 percent of the time the click/poping thru audio has to do with signal processing where one or few bits are missing in the digital stream which translates into click/pop. --anywhere from a bad RF amp IC or signal processor/slicer chip or D-A converter. It may even be an issue with memory IC. Must have test equip/schematic to follow signal. Shotgun approach is uneconomical. |
