new 5.8gz phones /phonelines/phone wont ring...old 2.4 will

i have been through 3 5.8 phones and need to change over because of wireless equiptment. my phone line is fine, the settings on the phones have been fine..and ringer set to on. however the phone will not ring, i can call out, and my callers here the line as ringing...does anyone know what might be causing the problem..i have gone through two unitechs and one motorola cordless in the last 4 days...i am stumped...why ..the REN should be okay, i thought my home security might be interferring...any one please help!
