My 32' Sony Vega won't power on. The Standyby Led continuesly blinks 5 times. Looking for fault codes to indicate what the problem might be.

this happened to mine and it was circuit board inside-cost me 200 dollars luckily it was only first circuit board there are 2 and second one much bigger.mine is wega 36 inch.one day saw flash of light from next room and boom wouldn't go on and blinking light

I Have the same problem with this model. I called to Sony's Service that this problem is from factory and how they can repair it because many other users have the same problem.
I think you have to report to Sony that its product is cost too much for short period of live (since May 2003). It costed me $850.00
