JVC AV-27820

JVC AV-27820 27". Been great about 4 years. Now only a thin line across the center of the screen is lit. All else both top and bottom is black. Any idea on the problem or the fix?

Hi,

Sounds like a vertical IC failure. U may need to do some circuit tracing to find this IC. Its usually mounted standing up on a heat sink.

Try re-soldering the IC if not replace. Remember to apply therma paste between heat sink & IC when replacing.
