03 Tundra CD player just loads and will not play

I have an 03 Toyota Tundra and the CD player will not load and play. When a CD is loaded, all I get is "Load" repeatedly for about 10 seconds and then it spits out the CD. It was working fine and then one day it just stared this. Any ideas on a fix would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like an optical assembly problem. If there were no warnings of problems ahead in the unit (glitching, too much time spent reading a freshly loaded disc) prior to the on set of this behavior you might find cleaning and or a bad connection to the laser as the culprit. Good luck
