sony plasma t.v. fault

Hi. Have a sony plasma 42 inch in for repair. powers up briefly then just as screen lights up it trips out again. Repeats this 2 or3 times then shuts right down. Model isPFM42B1E
Any information on this fault please.

Did you find out from the shop what the problem was. If so how much did it cost to get it fixed??? Thanks for any help you can give me.

I had the same problem and the tech said he had to replaced two boards one in the Tv and one in the Media Receiver Unit. and it worked for acouple of months and it doing it again
