sony kp-51ws510 does not respond to remote

my sony projection tv does not respond to the remote anymore no idea what to look for any help would be appreciated thanks

First lets go for the obvious, will the remote turn up the volume on the tv. If so then you are in the wrong function on the remote itself.
I assume you put new batteries in. Even new batteries can be bad.

After that has been checked out then the remote sensor inside the set could be bad or you have a more serious micro prossesor problem. You will need a scope and a service manual to check these out.
