Philips 28PW6515/05 Painter chip fault

Hi,

I have recently aquired a Philips 28" widescreen TV model no. 28PW6515/05. The tv has an intermittant fault with where after a period of time it goes into standby. I have found out that there is a 99% chance this is a fault with the dreaded Painter chip (IC1074). I have found a repair service that will replace the IC for £79.99 if i send off the small signal board.

Does anyone have experience of removing this board as apparently it is a plug in module but i've yet to be informed how tricky this will be to remove.

Any help would be much appriciated.
