Philips Plasma 32PF9954 Power On problems

Need help on power on. Plasma TV will not turn on, indicator lights flashing red. If I heat it up with hair dryer, it will eventually turn on. Opened it up and heat the MOSFET STY34N50B, unit can turn on easily. Do you think the MOSFET should be replaced. Somebody in eBay selling parts for this model, saying that the parts to be replaced are about 10 capacitors and an IC. Pls help...this is a common problem with Phiips Plasma in same series .......XXPF9954....thanks...valerio.v @ gmail.com

thanks so much for the hairdryer post on the tv(philips flatscreen) !! i know its probably not a permanet fix but im watching it for the first time in weeks!!!
