I'm working on Kyocera receiver that is giving a nasty 120 Hz hum. It plays fine and sounds good once turned up loud enough to drown out the hum. All of the ground connections seem fine. The hum is coming in somewhere between the pre-amp section and the power amp.
Any suggestions? |

Filter capacitors? Are you sure of the grounds? Coupling capacitors? Failed solderjoints? |

I found the problem shortly after posting this, there is a small secondary power supply, and one of the filters was bad.
Thanks for the reply |
