Hi my dvd just gave up reeding the dvd and cd put in disk it start to run nomal speed than goes slow speed does this a few cycles and than stops and say <NO DISC> i already cleaned the lense with Isopropyl lcohol no avail any help thanks in advance[2761] |

i have quite alot of repair notes from memory on this model but i will not be able to see them untill monday or tuesday ... i'll post again after i have looked at them ... perhaps someone else may be able to help you before then but if not i will post again monday or tuesday |

While there were several issues with that unit, more than likely need to replace the laser assembly---comes complete with motors.
A6062705A
---& don't forget to remove the shorting on the new pickup. |

if it didnt need a laser assy before you cleaned it with iso it will now as the iso will damage the coating on the lens, dont forget to check q02 on dvd pcb has been replaced with the modified version but that also usually prevents eject from wrking. |

the only notes i have on my service manual is D909 on the power supply board for no DVD operation but i didn't note any more than that.... also IC302 for No DVD operation or the error message "C-81" is displayed.
otherwise a faulty laser assy ....
i have been using iso to clean laser lenses myself for 3 and a half years without any problems ... i also use a proper lens cleaning liquid afterwards as this removes any smearing on the lens but i always use iso first as it cleans any contamination off better than just the lens cleaning fluid itself ...... |
