27 inch Sony CRT- Won't turn on

You press the power button, you hear it click, then 5 seconds later it clicks off. You never hear the sound of the screen trying to turn on.

Just wondering what it may be and a price range to get it fixed.

It flashes three times pause, one time, pause, 4 times, pause, then keeps flashing 4 times

Check your HOT, it's commen that and the flyback go.

He is referring to the horizontal output section of your system.

HOT = Horizontal Output Transistor or Transformer
Flyback = HO Transformer

Check the transistor for fault.
