Repair HP L1702 Monitor (no power)

I have a HP L1702 monitor that will not turn on !! The Led turns green then nothing. I have removed the outer casing to have a look at the components and contacts, but i am not sure what i am looking at. Are there any basics i should check before i bin it ?? Thanks

if you hear a click of the relay and static on the screen on the green led doesn't go to amber then the power is working if you can try it on another computer please tell me how you get on

I am unable to try it on another pc just yet, but I have another monitor which works fine on the pc, so i do not think there is an issue with the graphics card etc

I can hear the click of the relay and the led turns green only! then goes out.
