just replace the resistor, if that doesnt solve the problem check r602 150k, r616 123k, r620 470k, check voltage on pin 9 of cn902 should be low, if high protection is being triggered, have also had this voltage floating caused by micro but adding a 22k resistor to ground allowed me to trace it.

I have replaced R608, same problem.

r602 =76k
r616 = 71k
r620 = 400k
Note: I did not diconnect them from the board.

Pin 9 on CN902 = -0.62v
I also measured the pins with 9v and 33v labels:
9v = 1.49 volts
33v = 26.5volts

All these are around the Left Right Amp area of the of the board, do you suspect some thing there?

Also someone else was suggesting I "measure the collector coltage on the big transistor near the Line Transformer" What voltage should I get?

and also "does the heater come on?".
I guess the heater is the glass tube on the neck of the CRT? That does not come on. Could that be because the TV does not stay ON long enough for it to heat up? as its only on for 2 seconds.

I have also noticed that in that 2 seconds there is only picture, no sound.

What else can I check next guys?

the crt heaters must be lit as the picture is briefly present so that idea can be ignored, the resistors need to be removed to check them,.

• IC9001,9002, 9003 is shorted.(C board)
check these out.

Guest, non of these can be found on the boards, are you sure you are refering me to the correct model and/or pcb?

Thanks

Hi Gary,

Sorry mate, didnt have time to take out those resistors. However, I have noticed something else, the voltage on IC600 (STR-S6709).

The service manual says pin1 =173 volts.

During the 2 seconds of picture, voltage=142 volts.
After picture goes, voltage=28volts

This IC600 pin1 goes to a transformer, T601, which seems to bridge between the Primary and Secondary power supply.

Note:
The diagrams I have is of a PCB 1-659-827-16, but my TV PCB has 1-659-827-14, identical PCB but few components missing on mine.
