I've finally decided to fix my old Tandberg TR-2060 stereo receiver. It looks like one of the transistors in the left channel, a type BD420, has shorted. This is an obsolete type (PNP, BVCEO=100V, Ic=1A, Ft=75 MHz, TO202 package). It may have been more common in Europe than in the US.
I've come across a type 2N6556, which seems to match pretty closely, at least as far as raw specs are concerned. Does anyone know if this is a proper substitute?
Thank you. |
