My machine stopped playing video. (Its not the obvious case of a bad RCA cable) The audio still plays fine but no video will come out. I took it apart once and cleaned/dusted everything out and it worked for like a week maybe. Now its doing it again. Is this a case of the lens getting too old from too much use? Or could something else be causing this problem as well? any input is appreciated. thx

You can be assured that if the machine is able to read a disc , there is no problem with the lense. Sounds like you may simply have a bad connection issue in the video circuit. It may simply be a bad connection at the jack itself.Or you may have some sort of electronic problem in video processing(rather odd for that unit)
If/when there is an issue with the lense, discs will not even be read. |
