Skipping CD Changer, Likely Cause?

I have a Denon micro system with a three CD multi changer that struggles to get up and running, skips easily etc. It seems to me that the mech is having trouble getting the data off the disk.

What is the most likely reason for this fault and is it repairable cost effectively?

Thank you.

Worn out do you think or maybe just needing ajusted? To be honest the thing is so hard to take apart that either sounds terminal.

even if it could be adjusted it would only be delaying the enivitable, it needs to be replaced.

I'll bet! I've had the thing apart already, trying to have a look at the CD mech, and I gave up. The whole machine is bolted to the CD mech box and has to come off before you can get into it by the look of things.

Thanks for that info Gary. Merry Christmas to you :0)
