| I have a 50" LCD rear projection TV. Model#50v500. It has a blue color blotch from top center to middle center of TV. Gets worse when TV warms up. |

| Right side of set gives model and serial #. Is it a 50v500 or a 50v500a. If it's an A you need your light engine replaced. Hitachi has been very good at least for paying for the parts even out of warranty. |

| You mean the lamp assembly unit that is in the bottom left corner of the TV. |

| Look @ the back of the tv also. Is it a v550 or a v500a. |
