Mitsu model VS-4504R , can't unlock from EXT1

Asks for four digit code and I don't have one, I do not have the remote, only a universal that will turn it on, change channels, volume etc. Any help out there?

I have the same issue, my original remote went bad and I just got another remote, but have forgotten the code from way back when....anyone have the universal reset code? or is there a standard string out there? I have tried all sorts of combos...

most universal remotes have auto scan feature to find code,that should work.if not try channel up or down to change.
