I've got the same problem: cut-off connector, and don't know what color is what...
But with a compaq S710:

green (shielded) -> green
red (shielded) -> red
blue (shielded) -> blue
white (shielded) ???

purple ???
white ???
yellow ???
orange ???
black ??? (only in the cable, not connected to the print...?)

can anyone help? if you have a S710, maybe you want to look inside?
the cable ends in two connecters inside, one with the red, green and blue signals, and one connector foro the other ones. in that connector there isn't a black one anymore and the shielded white one splits in a white wire (the core) and a black, which is the shield. But to which pins are the others going....
