my cd player in a van will only work sometimes with certin cds would any 1 no why

Some cds wont run because the cd player is only compatibale with some zons in the world, like say potuguese cd players wont play most american cds.

have you had the cd long if so the laser may be worn and may refuse to read scratched disks
