i have a heavy t.v trying to move it upstairs by myself,yes i am a girl. if i face the screen twoards the floor will i ruin my t.v. do they always have to be upright? |

Generally you would normally carry a television with the tube facing you and if climbing the stairs rest the set on your waist and leg while using the wall or banister to provide back support while slowly going up (sliding with the back) one step at a time. If the set is over 25" It may be too heavy to carry on your own.
Try lifting first to see if you can manage but bend the knees and not the back while lifting and setting it down.
Health and safety say you must have one hand on the railing when going up or down stairs although in reality I don't know how this would work.
Ask a neighbour. I know if a damsil in distress came to my door for assistance I would gladly oblige. |
