Matsui 28WN20 - Picture width

I can't get the picture to fit with any setting (4:3,16:9,letterbox, widescreen, auto, etc). I have tested with a DVD and Telewest sources, same problem. Also squares do not have straight sides. Any advice how to get the picture to fit the screen please? Thanks

set is fitted with vestel 11ak37 chassis, check e-w fet and resistors, c622 12nf 630v, d606 uf5408, c621 10nf 250v, c618 3.9nf 1600v it is possible the eeprom is corrupt but check everything else first.
