Aiwa Cassette deck AD-WX828

Ok guys got this double deck in for repair it only needed a head replacement, on assembly it now does not want to function only the display works and self check the rest is dead ,need some input how to go about it no schematic and cannot give to client with a new head and no brains so to say.Please help me.
