|
|
I have a JVC AV-56WP74 Build date 2003.
Ok I know that I need To replace the two STK392-110 IC's.
But I have played with the TV so much I don't know if it
need's to be reprogrammed on not. I was in no condition
to be playing around with the programming but I did.
Now the green grid is way out of adjustment and I cant get
it back to where it needs to be. Nothing lines up any more.
So if it needs to be reprogrammed do I need to have that
done before I chang the IC's?
Or can I put the new ones in before I call the TV repair man?
Or will the new IC's be pre programmed? Or is their a way that
I can do a hard reset? The service manual does not say.
What is a signal generator? All I do know is that the manual
say's I need one and I don't think they mean the grid that the TV generates.
Thanks Ray |

mute 1 8 3 gets you into service mode. "Unless their using Hitachi's circuit.) Unless you changed it in service mode, don't adjust in service mode until new ic's are in! 90% of the time I can adjust in customers menu after replacing them. Replace the ic's and get back to me. |

Sorry, thinking samsung. Take the screens off, cover the blue and red tubes. Adjust green back as straight as you can. Then do the same with the blue, then red. Or in convergence b see if there's a factory restore. |

What screens?
I have put every thing back to the Factory settings as close as I could get them. But it still doesn't look like it used to. I guess I will chang the IC'S and see what I will have to do next. If I have to I will call the repair man.
Minnie Thanks for all the help. It is very appreciated. It's people like you that mack this country a better place. If you ever need help with your car let me know PM or E-MAIL. |

You have to change the ic's before we go on. That will tell us where to go next. |

OK the IC'S are in. No more red wavy lines all over the place. It looks like it would be perfect if I hadn't messed around with it in service mod. Here is a pic of what it looks like know.
Any way I can fix this?
Thanks Ray |

Do you have control to move convergence in customer menu? Don't auto focus, try to move it manuely. Let me know. I've seen worse. |

Yes I can but the green is all wavy and the centers won't line up. It is way out I don't even have the same number of block's in all three color grids.
I did notice that the service manual says not to adjust some of the things that I messed with. They don't give any factory defaults for them. Is there any way I can get all of the factory set defaults? So I can set them manually.
Thanks Ray |
