Panasonic Plasma TV Locked

Not sure what happened but my new Panasonic TH42PX6OU Tv is locked and remote does not work? Please help!

if the standby light flashes when you press a button on the remote try this trick, press down button on the set and the "i" button on the remote simultaneously, this should bring up "self check" on the screen , wait 10 secs turn set off and back on, if it has worked set will reload software and tune itself in.
