empty toner ? f 230 Gestetner

HI,
IN GESTETNER F 230 FAX SHOWS THE TONER EMPTY I REFILL THE CARTRIDGE BUT STILL SHOW THE EMPTY TONER, HOW CAN I RESET THIS OR THE COUNTERS, RICOH 2210 L FAX IS THE SAME MODLE.
