Around here, it would run you about $250 plus tax to get it installed. After it's fixed, find some place to sell you an extended warranty. |

I did not get the persons name, but it should be in their computer. She was typing up a case file while I was talking to her with all my info and what the problem was. I am pretty sure that I was just talking to someone in india charged with answering the phones. She gave me a fax number and said to fax over proof of purchase and an estimate/diagnosis and they would "reveiw it and most likely cover the cost of the parts" I really have nothing to lose at this point, because even if they don't cover the costs, I should really get a proper diagnosis so that I don't buy a $1800 light engine for the thing, find out it's not the problem and end up out the money. It is only going to cost $75 for the house call and estimate. |

About the extended warranty, can you buy one this late in the game after it is out of warranty? If so, couldn't anyone just wait till the thing breaks and buy a warranty? Too late for me to try that approach, they allready have me in the computer at this point. |

Check with best buy, circuit city, american, sear, or call phillips or NEW warranty. |
