Fujitsu siemens C383FA tft monitor problem

TFT monitor 38B1 model C383FA
I have already searched the forums and found this problem was asked about 2 years ago but got an answer so here goes again.
The monitor has problems starting sometimes it will start ok sometimes not. The power led is on but the screen is black and you cannot switch off. When there is a display as soon as you press the menu button the screen goes black sometimes it comes back on sometimes the monitor just becomes locked again so you can't turn off.
