Help!! There is a thin vertical line all the way down my laptop screen. It is mostly white but changes colour a bit depending on what's behind it.
It's not really a problem I suppose, at the moment as it's so small.. but I really hope this doesn't mean the screen is on it's way out or something?!?!! Also, is there anything I can do to fix the problem?

BAD NEWS, THAT IS A CLASSIC EXAMPLE OF SCREEN FAILURE, ONLY RECOURSE IS REPLACEMENT

No way!!! Seriously??? It's not cost effective to replace a laptop screen is it? How long do you think I've got before it goes too far? Crying or Very sad

it may not go any worse, you would probably looking at at least a couple hundred pounds

Well, my laptop is nearly 2 years old and I paid about £500 for it originally, so I wouldn't bother repairing it for a couple of hundred, with the price of laptops now.
