Does anybody know of anything that can be used to make something more resistive as in the opposite of lubrication.
The problem is a dial on my guitar effects pedal has come loose and turns too easily. I need something to make it more firm while still able to turn??
Any suggestions?
(Preferably something that can be purchased locally or some common household material ) |

Are you talking about a control such as a rotating switch or a volume control?
Sounds like either a worn out control or it may simply be a physically loose control/potentiometer/switch?
While there is a type of lubricant used on slider controls (such as mixer boards/etc) to give it a smooth, "cushiony" operation---- not aware of any application or need for such a resistive substance? |
