PACIFIC (PSTB 1) - Appears to be on constant Standby Mode

Hi I have a

PACIFIC -DIGITAL TERRESTRIAL RECEIVER

MODEL NO:PSTB 1 freeview box

which I have had for just over a year now. I normally leave it on
all the time never turn it off(I know I should do!)

One morning I came downstairs and it appeared to be on standby,
tried to turn it on and nothing left it off for a couple of minuites,turned it back on nothing- still the red lights.

Thinking it was the power adapter that might have caused it to fail
since the unit and power adapter were very hot I tested it with a
multimeter that appeared okay, also tested it with another power
adapter of the same voltage still nothing.

The only conclusion I can come to is something has overheated or
burnt out in the freeview box, I have taken it apart and I can't
see any visable component failure.

Has anyone got any idea what component might have failed inside?

Has anyone got the schematics for this Model?

Please don't reply and say go out and get another one, it is not worth the fuss I know they are cheap but I want to be able to repair this for a few pounds, plus it will be one of my electronic projects too.

Any advice would be grateful
