It seems that counterfeit convergence IC’s are hitting the market again.
STK392-020 can be replaced w/STK392-040.
STK392-110 can be replaced w/STK392-150 or STK392-180.
All others use what’s in there. If you’re going to do it yourself, buy them from a reputable place. It may cost a little more per IC but not blowing up pico fuses and other things are worth the headache. The best replacement out there for the 392-150’s is still Hitachi’s CZ0043. You can buy them or any ones from Tritronic’s inc.
Hitachi put out an update. STK392-150's have been replaced by the sanyo STK394-160.

To give you an example, I had a call back of another tech. He used 392-110's from a source I demeaned unreliable. They puked in less than 3 months. If your only getting a couple of hours then it's blowing the resistor again there crap IC's.
ELTSTK392180/392110/392120/392150 $35.00 Or less. You pay $8.00 per IC there crap!

CZ0043 doesn't seem to come up anywhere I search. Is the number complete? |

I read somewhere that STK4274 and STK390-120 are interchangeable. Can anyone verify this? |
