Sony - KV32LS35U service manual/help

Hi all,

I wonder if anyone could help me to help my Dad out. He is a retirred TV engineer, but no longer has access to the service manuals etc.

He has recently inherited a Sony KV32LS35U. It has a fault on it, but he can't identify the root of the problem.

When hhe starts it up, the standby button flashes 5 times and seems to be trying to 'switch' to on, but gets stuck and seems to go through a continual cycle of standby - flashing - standby - flashing.

Perhaps not the best explanation I could give, but I really want to try to help him with this.
