Wintel 9663 power fault

Hi. I have the above DVD player. When I turn it on, it takes a long time to the display to anything. Eventually it will power up and read the disc and operate normally. There is no difference if I use the witch or remote control.
Sometimes I need to turn it on/off a couple of times for it to fire up.

Any suggestions as to why this is happening?
