Mustek firmware problem

I have a Mustek R100A DVD recorder which I was changing the firmware on and it went wrong and now is locked at the HELLO display.
I was using a firmware which I had used before on the same disc that I had used earlier so it should have been ok.
Does anyone know of a way round this?
Is there another way of changing the firmware other than by disc?
