Ribbon Cable Adhesive

Hello everyone!

I hope someone can help me with the following repair. I am trying to fix my car's information display unit. The ribbon cable that connects the pixel display to the pc board has come undone and makes poor connection. I attempted heating the glue up with a hair dryer but it is too old and already heat-damaged. So now, I am looking for an adhesive that will enable me to re-attach the flat ribbon cable back to the pc board properly. Any ideas on what adhesives will do that?
