hi folks,

i have 2 rooms. One is my studio and the other is my bedroom. Problem is, my bedroom is freezing, so I want to switch the two rooms around so I don't have to wear a beanie to bed.

But that means keeping my computer, soundcard, amplifier, record player, digital piano, etc in a room that probably drops to temperatures as low as 2/3 degrees C (37F) and gets as hot as 35C (95F). If it's cold then small patches of condensation form on the ceiling.. Shocked

Should I be concerned about keeping my electronic equipment in these conditions?

Please help me decide whether I or my material possessions warrant more priviledged treatment.

Thanks,

Dan

it is a fact that air cinditioning removed water from the air. where does the condensetion come from. if you have water in the air from whatever best thing is leave power on when you remove power hot components will draw cool air like a sponge causing early failures leave all on quisent power is not $$$$$

If you put in a dehumidifier this will remove the moisture or preferably a little heat in the bedroom. You should not sleep in a damp room as this can cause numonia/asthma.
