As you can see Minnie. I'm seriously going for it now. Smile

Checked the Hex Bolts above. All seem OK.
Doesnt seemed to have any leakage.

After I realised that was OK.
I removed the Screen and the Lens and thought I'd check from the top.

I've added a fair few images to try and explain the problem further.
I reckon the reb bulb has cracked and has leaked fluid. Is that possible?

Firstly, directly under the R-Drive board which is connected to the Red CRT (The Fluid - now moped up) -

Next is the top view of the bulbs. Note the Red one is VERY red and as opposed to the Blue one (right) is not very blue.

(Blacklisted IP for too many images in Post?
Naughty! Yet required, they are hosted elsewhere Wink )

Looking closer the inside of the top of the CRT either has Cracks or fluid splits?

Seems like I'm finally getting someplace with this! Smile
Although it does look quite serious!

The deeper I gt into this CRT the worse it seems to be getting!

The Coolant reservoir on top of the bulb is seeping through the bulb because teh glass has cracked badly.

I'm determined to sort this so have taken the Red CRT out completely.

Pictures -

It looks to me to be the Red bulb is completely knackered.
Would you know of a reasonably priced place in the US that sells a Toshiba RP Bulb Part numbers on it are PI6LTX10 (RFA) or 8A130146.

Been ringing round like crazy today being left on hold, whilst they attempt to find the part (gottatoshiba.com) and I'm still none the wiser if I can get one of these things. They said they dont have them in stock and dont know if they are going to get anymore! Sad

I was told to expect it to be IRO about £180 or $360. Ouch! Do you know of anywhere better than may have a lamp for a Toshiba 42PW33P (I know, UK Model! LOL) or a generic lamp that will do the job?

Kinda thinkin' perhaps buy a very similar model thats also faulty (found one) on ebay and replace with a CRT from that one? The fault on this other one is the main board is fried.

Thinking I've got 1 in 3 chance (as has 3 CRT's all the same) of it working out that way. Not only that, they only want 30GBP for it ($60).

Might be worth a shot considering the price of a new CRT is probably out of my range at the moment.

The thing I found really strange is this TV I've found as a Donor, although has been ID'd as a different Model it does look from the exterior, exactly the same.

My TV (42PW33P)-

Tv on Offer (42WH46P) -

Could there be that many difference's? I've looked in both Service Manuals and from the Diagrams (unless they are generic) the CRT's are the same.
