ZR100 Camcorder Problem

I have a ZR100 Camcorder that will not play my tapes. I know that the tapes do contain video, but when I try to play them all I get is a blue screen, no timer or anything to show me what point I am at the tape.
It's almost like the tape is blank, but it is not because the same thing has happened with the other 4 or 5 tapes I have tried to play.

Please tell me someone has a solution...
