I am trying to see if I can repair the receiver portion of this compact stereo system. It just stopped working - will not power on.

I am new to electronic repair, but would still like to give it a try. If I were to procure a service manual for this be a repair that someone with limited repair experience can handle?

If your Amplifier isnt working. Isnt starting and no red standby LED is shown. You have to change 3 capacitors. The essential one is C009 (2,2µF/50V/85°c). Replace it with a 2,2µF/100V/105°C.
There are two other capacitors next to C009. C052 (100µF/10V) and C053 (22µF/16V). It would be better to replace them too against 105°C (degree centigrade) capacitors.
If anybody needs a schematic please wrote me an email.
