Older Sears TV audio problem chasis c539-51315-1

Hope someone can help since I've been out of the repair game for a number of years now.

This TV originally had vertical collapse with good sound. I replaced the verticle IC which repaired the collapse issue. However, after powering up the set, the sound is distorted and I can just make out the garbled audio.

I've checked the audio circuit but have failed to find the issue.

Any help would be appreciated.
