My friend has a Hitachi Ultravision 50UX15K. Recently, the picture went dark - you can still see the picture (barely) but it's as if someone turned the brightness way down. We've gone into the settings and checked the brightness - it was at the halfway mark. We turned that up - now, you can see the picture better but it's washed out. We tinkered with the convergence settings (just trying to find anything that would correct the problem). When we try to line up the blue cross (+) on the + that's on the screen, it won't line up exactly. It's lined up horizontally but the top is slightly to the left and the bottom, slightly off to the right. The red + is similar but it lines up vertically, not horizontally.
Is this a "convergence" problem I see other people talking about? Or is it something else?
Thanks |

IT is not convergency if you mess with that god help you then you need a generator to get it right or month of tweeking. your problem is the hi voltage power supplly which is fed from a low votage power supply. it matbe also the pot controlling the voltage that is sittingm on a bad spot |
