Hi guys

Names Jordan, 33 from East Anglia in UK. Not really qualified in servicing and repairs but I sort of know enough to repair my own items.

But a fault with my TV has baffled me a little as most repair places seem loathe to touch it.

I have a LOGIK LCXW30NN6 widescreen lcd tv and what happens is the screen comes on for less than a second but then goes off again leaving the tv light showing green as if on but the power is not being delivered to screen. If you turn it to standby then turn it on again the same thing of course happens, less than a second on and it goes off again.

Logically this means it's either a power module or board not delivering the right current to the screen.

So does anyone know where I can source a module/board that'll repair the tv or does anyone know of any other causes for this fault.

I appreciate this is my first post and I'm right in there asking for help but I can assure the mainstays that I will be sticking around and offering out my own advice where possible!

Thanks guys

Jordan

It should have something to do with the part of the circuit that supply the power to the back light of the LCD panel , the filtering caps in that part of the circuit is faulty. Most likely the electrolytic caps, try to see if there is any e-cap that is bloated at the top or if there is any chemical leaking out at the bottom. If not, just change the e-caps at that portion of the module to see if it solves the problem.
